Gabriel Junior Honored in Mozambique
On August 25, 2025, the Glória Hotel in Maputo hosted the Solemn Act of Jethro International.
The Expansion Director Eliana Santos presided this ceremony, where the Son of People Gabriel Junior, founder of Grupo Sucesso, was distinguished with the prestigious Martin Luther King Award by Jethro International.
The honor was presented personally by Eliana Santos, in recognition of Gabriel Junior’s impact in the areas of communication, sports, philanthropy, and social development in Mozambique.

Known as the “Son of the People”, Gabriel Junior has built a career marked by leadership, resilience, and dedication to humanitarian causes.
Founder of TV Sucesso, a channel that became a national reference, he is also a former Member of Parliament, writer, motivational speaker, and philanthropist.

Upon receiving the Martin Luther King Award, Gabriel Junior moved the audience with a heartfelt speech of gratitude:
“With great joy and gratitude, I received the International Martin Luther King Award. This recognition means so much to me and reflects every effort, every battle, and every person who stood by my side throughout this journey. I thank everyone who believes in me and who is part of this achievement. This award is ours! Let us remain firm in this walk.”
Among his most notable contributions are the creation of the Malaria Fund of Mozambique and several social initiatives that have directly benefited entire communities.
A Legacy of Achievements
With more than two dozen distinctions, including being named Figure of the Year in Mozambique (2022) and African Celebrity of the Year in Media Leadership (2024), Gabriel Junior is today the most awarded communicator in the Country.
He holds a degree in Education for Development, with additional studies in international relations and marketing, and has consolidated his position as a business leader through Grupo Sucesso, one of Mozambique’s largest media conglomerates.
