MOZAMBIQUE: CIVIL DIPLOMAT LANDEER LIMA CARRIES OUT HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN AFRICA

Diplomata Civil Humanitário Landeer Andrade Lima Missão Moçambique

Landeer Lima and a Mission of Faith, Presence and Service

Civil Diplomat Landeer Lima carried out a humanitarian mission in Mozambique, Africa, where he experienced, at close range, the daily life, faith and resilience of a local community.

During the mission, Landeer offered humanitarian assistance connected to the construction of CBI houses, provided spiritual encouragement, and helped deliver essential supplies to families in need. More than a visit, the mission became a profound experience of presence, solidarity and human encounter.

Landeer Andrade Lima Experiences Community Life in Mozambique

Rather than observing from a distance, Landeer chose to live closely with the people he visited. He stayed within the community, shared their daily routine, ate what they ate, and experienced their reality without filters or separation.

This direct contact deeply moved him. According to Landeer, Mozambique revealed not only material challenges, but also a strong sense of unity, faith and mutual care.

For him, the mission was not merely humanitarian. It became a spiritual and human lesson about compassion, simplicity and the true meaning of service.

Humanitarian Mission Supports CBI Houses and Families

One of the central points of the mission was the support offered for the construction of CBI houses, an initiative aimed at improving living conditions for vulnerable families.

In addition, the mission included the distribution of supplies and spiritual support, reinforcing the importance of being present with people in moments of need.

Within the vision of Humanitarian Civil Diplomacy, actions such as this reflect the role of Civil Diplomats as bridges between communities, humanitarian initiatives and practical responses to human needs.

Mozambique Teaches Landeer Andrade Lima About Faith and Solidarity

During his time in Mozambique, Landeer encountered a community marked by grief. Shortly after his arrival, two young people had lost their lives in a traffic accident, and the entire city seemed to share the pain of that loss.

He had the privilege and spiritual responsibility of taking part in the funeral ceremony. What touched him most was the collective presence of the community. Families, neighbours and friends gathered not only to mourn, but also to stand together.

After the funeral, the community went to the home of the relatives. There, a simple ceremony was held with honour, respect and unity. At the end, the people raised an offering for the bereaved family.

For Landeer, this moment became one of the most powerful lessons of the mission. The offering did not come from abundance, but from sacrifice. Even with little, people chose to share.

This gesture deeply marked his understanding of faith, compassion and community life.

“Mozambique Is Engraved in My Soul”

Moved by the experience, Civil Diplomat Landeer Lima wrote a poem entitled “Mozambique Is Engraved in My Soul”.

In the text, he reflects on the impact of the mission and the lessons he received from the Mozambican people. The poem speaks of a faith lived in practice, of a community capable of carrying one another’s pain, and of a love expressed through concrete gestures.

“I leave Mozambique, but I carry Mozambique engraved in my soul.
I did not come here as a tourist.
I came on a mission. And a mission is not lived from afar. It is lived closely, together, and with feeling.”

Through his words, Landeer describes Mozambique as more than a mission field. He calls it an altar where God confronted, taught and realigned him.

The poem also carries a wider message. It invites people to reflect on the difference between admiring acts of solidarity and truly living them.

Humanitarian Civil Diplomacy in Action

Landeer Andrade Lima’s mission in Mozambique represents one of the essential principles of Humanitarian Civil Diplomacy: to be present where human needs are real, and to respond with dignity, respect and compassion.

Through the construction of CBI houses, the delivery of supplies and spiritual care, the mission strengthened bonds with the local community and highlighted the importance of serving with humility.

For Jethro International Africa, this mission stands as a testimony that humanitarian action is not limited to resources alone. It is also built through presence, empathy, responsibility and the willingness to walk beside those who face difficult circumstances.

Landeer returned from Mozambique transformed by what he saw and lived. His testimony now becomes a call to conscience: true humanitarian service begins when people choose not only to see suffering, but to respond to it with action.
