Angola – Africa: 10 Years of Jethro Civil Diplomats Humanitarian Actions

The 10 years of Jethro Civil Diplomats in Angola is a review of humanitarian actions.

Nowadays, Angola’s economic potential is recovering from the long civil conflicts that afflicted the Country from 1975 to 2002.

And it happens that Luanda is considered one of the most expensive places for foreigners.

Because of that, Angola is the 6th most prosperous country in Africa, with an economy highly reliant on extracting and selling natural commodities such as oil and minerals.

However, social inequalities point to the challenge of improving the human development index, according to the Human Development Report 2023.

Angola – Africa – Humanitarian Needs Today

The humanitarian challenges and achievements that deserve attention in Angola today are:

  • Violence and arrests: against peaceful human rights demonstrators.
  • Freedom of the media: millions of Angolans still not having access to free, diverse, and impartial information. Angola is the only country in Southern Africa without community radio stations.
  • Women’s rights: the country has made significant progress. Top positions in the Angola Government, including the Vice-President and the President of the National Assembly, are held by women.
  • Health: in 2023, Angola celebrated 75 years with the World Health Organization (WHO). Primary Health Care is to ensure access to health for individuals, families, and everywhere.

Angola – Africa: Humanitarian Civil Diplomats Jethro Actions

Jethro International has been carrying out humanitarian work and training classes for Civil Diplomats in Angola.

Certainly, there are many experiences to share including the participation of the Vice Consul for the Angolan Communities in Rio de Janeiro, Mr. Domingos Camilo Buanga.

As a result, the training of new Civil Humanitarian Jethro Diplomats and Chaplains is one of the highlights of actions in Africa.

Above all, we must recognize the work of the Directors Mr. Benedito Caxala, Mr. Marcos Nascimento, and Mr.Bruno Lee.

However, all these actions demand two principles:

Resilience

The individual’s ability to deal with problems, adapt to change, overcome obstacles, or resist pressure.

Consequently, resilience makes it possible to think of strategic solutions to face and overcome adversity.

In organizations, resilience is the positive reaction in a context between the tension of the environment and the will to win.

As a result, these decisions provide strategic strengths in the person to face adversity.

Humanitarian Work

Humanitarian assistance where needed and to whomever it is needed.

For this reason, all Jethro Civilian Diplomats in Africa are International Chaplains, which allows fluidity in humanitarian work.

Thinking about it, we can say that today that more than a thousand leaders are more than a thousand new ways of changing the world.

Jethro Civil Diplomat can help humanitarian purposes to become a reality. If you have a humanitarian dream in Africa, comment or share this post to inspire others.
